Introduction to Carpentry: Power Tools
This course introduces participants to plan reading, material selection, and safe use of power tools. We spend two days building together to empower participants to feel confident and capable of tackling carpentry projects. Day 1 consists of building sawhorses and practicing with power tools used frequently on a job site. On day 2 participants work together to interpret building plans and build a toolbox to keep for personal use.

Introduction to Carpentry: Framing & Siding
This course outlines the basics of framing, structural members and layout. We will work with power tools and pneumatic tools to frame a woodshed. Participants will learn wall and roof framing, exterior trim, and siding. We will explore how to get started on a project of your own, how to make judgement calls on tolerances through each building phase, and how to effectively set up a job site.
